The 10mm Auto round, often referred to as the “.40 super,” was created by United States Marine Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Cooper. Cooper, who died in 2006, was considered by many to be one of the best handgun handlers in the world. His thought in designing the 10mm was to provide a happy medium between the power of the .45 and the usability of the 9mm. He first created the 10mm in 1983 with the Bren Ten pistol. It was later implemented, though just for a few years, by the FBI following the famed 1986 FBI Miami shootout.

The round has had a tumultuous history, with Bren Ten going bankrupt in 1986 because their pistols never gained popularity due to their cost. However, in 1987, Colt begin producing their Delta Elite pistol, which was meant to be a m1911 style pistol, only chambered in 10mm auto. Then, in 1989, is when the FBI began using this caliber.
However, after only two years in use, the FBI changed to the .40 s&w for many reasons, two of which being the massive amount of recoil in the 10mm auto and the size of the gun needed to shoot the round. In fact, many FBI agents simply couldn’t carry a gun chambered in 10mm auto because their hands were too small. Though its use is rare, there are still many who like to shoot the 10mm auto recreationally.

Each box contains 500+ once fired brass shell casings. This is unprocessed brass sourced from commercial shooting ranges. It has not been cleaned or resized and still contains the spent primer. This brass contains different manufacturer's headstamps. It is recommended that all brass be inspected, prior to being reloaded and fired.

5 of 5 As advertised, fast ship & very well packed March 17, 2021

As advertised, a few stragglers of mix primer size as well as a a couple of various caliber. ALL USEABLE, to me. In my 500 count, appeared about half had been 'glocked'  and all of them sized as expected. -Shoot often, & bring a non-shooter or a newbie!

5 of 5 Wonderful value November 28, 2020

A wonderful value. Of course there are some small pistol primers mixed in there, but it advertised it. A few .40 S&W cases were mixed In, as well as a single 9MM case.

I will be buying more of these for sure.

5 of 5 Good quality brass. October 1, 2020
Reviewer: Joseph from Oakland, TN United States
I received one of the five hundred round packs of once fired range brass. In the package was exactly 500 10 mm shell casings, 7 40 caliber shell casings, and one 9 mm shell casing. Of the 500 10 mm shell casings 64 of them were of the small pistol primer variety (Blazer). Three of the 10 mm shell casings were unusable, two due to out of spec chambers in the weapons they were fired in, and one due to the single 9 mm shell casing nesting inside of the 10 mm brass during the tumbling process. I am happy with my purchase, and have ordered a second 500 round pack.
